Cloud technologies

Cloud technology is an approach to data and computing management that leverages the power of the Internet to provide scalable resources and on—demand services. Unlike traditional computing, where data is stored on local hardware, cloud technologies store data on remote servers of cloud providers.

Types of cloud technologies
Cloud technologies can be divided into three main categories: IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.

  • IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) provides users with virtualized computing resources over the Internet.
  • PaaS (Platform as a service) is a platform that includes both hardware and software tools necessary for application development.
  • SaaS (software as a service) is the most common form of cloud technology, providing software applications over the Internet by subscription.

Advantages of cloud technologies

  • Scalability and flexibility. You can easily increase and decrease IT resources depending on your needs.
  • Economic efficiency. Users pay only for the cloud resources they use.
  • Availability. Data can be accessed from anywhere in the world where there is stable Internet access.
  • Reliability. When storing data in the cloud, companies no longer need to worry about losing it due to hardware failures.

Cloud technologies and security
Security is one of the most common issues related to cloud technologies. However, reliable enterprise-level cloud providers pay great attention to security and apply reliable data protection measures: encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and regular security audits.
