Cloud Computing

About the service

Cloud computing is a service that allows access to a provider's computing resources via the Internet: data storage, servers, networks, software, monitoring tools. Cloud infrastructure can be quickly scaled up - on demand and virtually without limitation of hardware capacity. Services are managed through a web browser
The customer pays only for the volume of leased resources actually used. The service eliminates the need to support its own IT infrastructure and, consequently, capital expenditures on it

Types of cloud computing

Private Cloud

A cloud that is deployed for a single customer on their premises or on a leased site from a vendor. Hardware resources are physically isolated from other customers. The benefits of the model include extensive scalability, high service availability and privacy

Public cloud

Customers use a public pool of computing power from the provider. Pros: faster deployment and scaling than a private cloud, only pay for vCPU and vRAM resources actually used

Hybrid Cloud

The model allows you to combine physical resources of the local data center and leased in the cloud, combining them into a single infrastructure. This is useful, for example, if you need to quickly solve the problem of insufficient in-house resources, and renting computing power in the cloud turns out to be a favorable solution in terms of budget, speed of deployment and performance. Or when you need to distribute data: business-critical DBMSs run in your own storage, while non-critical service DBMSs run in the cloud

Main applications

1/4
Organization of a virtual data center

A fast and cost-effective way to run your own data center or server room of the required configuration. There is no need to purchase equipment for a virtual data center. The provider provides the necessary number of virtual servers. It is also possible to move the client’s physical servers to the provider’s site. Virtual infrastructure can be quickly scaled up or down, depending on business needs.

2/4
Creating applications

Based on cloud infrastructure, you can create a hardware and software environment for any type of build and testing: web and mobile software, API applications, games, etc.

3/4
Data storage

Cloud file storage is a high level of protection and availability (high availability), fast disk space expansion and flexible choice of storage technologies, regular backups, integration with any virtual hardware and software, access to storage from anywhere in the world, from any device.

4/4
Analytics

Renting large multiprocessor machines enables the use of In-memory and cloud-based distributed computing in various areas where high performance is required, including predictive analytics. By applying in-memory computing on large machines, the client receives instant reports and forecasts from analytical systems and Business Intelligence modules.

Advantages

Cost-effectiveness

The client does not need to purchase, maintain and update its own equipment, licenses for it, etc. Only the utilized volume of cloud resources is paid for. There is also no need for a large staff of IT specialists.

High availability

The provider ensures 24/7/365 availability of its services. The level of availability is specified in the Service level agreement (SLA). The SLA specifies the percentage of service availability for a period of time – for example, a month. In case of SLA violation, the provider pays compensation to the client.

Safety

All client data is stored in secure and reserved storage facilities connected to a network of physical and virtual servers. All equipment is located in reliable data centers with a high level of disaster resistance. In addition to equipment, the provider reserves communication channels and power supply to the data center.

Scalability

Cloud computing and flexible virtualization capabilities allow you to quickly scale your IT infrastructure to meet your business needs: increase the number of processor cores, RAM and disk space, the number of virtual machines, network interfaces, and so on. Cloud service providers use modern high-performance Hi-End equipment.

Migration

The high availability of the cloud, great scalability, cost-effectiveness and security make cloud migration an attractive case study not only for small enterprises whose business is not IT-related, but also for large companies. Customers can migrate their IT infrastructure to the cloud, either partially or completely. At the same time, the migration can be carried out without interruption of communication and downtime, having tested the service beforehand. Even a complete migration of a large infrastructure can be accomplished in just a few days.

Expertise and support

The provider accompanies the cloud project at all stages of realization – from infrastructure deployment to maintenance and support 24/7/365. Customer service is handled not by a single IT specialist, but by a team of qualified engineers.
