Electronic signature

An electronic or digital signature allows you to certify legal and commercial electronic documents. For example, contracts, consent agreements, etc. The advantages of electronic signatures over traditional ones are in speed, convenience and cost savings. Therefore, digital signatures are becoming an increasingly popular way to confirm agreements and contracts in the digital age.

The electronic signature can be verified and tracked down to a specific user. These provide a higher level of safety when using it.

Electronic signatures use digital authentication technologies:

  • encryption,
  • PKI,
  • biometrics for identity verification.

Electronic signature technology based on asymmetric public key encryption is becoming increasingly widespread. It is based on generating a pair of large numbers (public key and private key) that are connected to each other. Instead of encrypting the entire document, only the hash, which is the unique identifier of the document, is encrypted. An encrypted hash is an electronic signature.
