ITIL

ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library or “IT Infrastructure Library”) is a set of recommendations for managing internal and external workflows for companies that provide IT services. ITIL helps to effectively combine IT services with the company’s business strategy. The first edition appeared in 1992, the last for today and the fourth in a row — in 2019.

The fourth version introduced many changes to the set of recommendations that are designed for collaboration with other products, for example, collaboration with DevOps and Agile.

The key advantage of all the data stored in the library is the method of forming an information structure, where there are no dependencies on the features of the system, unlike most systems operating in the IT industry.

In each section of ITIL there are examples of successful implementation of a process.
