NSX (Network Virtualization and Security Platform) is a virtualization service from VMware that provides network protection. With NSX, you can reproduce a physical network in a virtual form, i.e. transfer it to the hypervisor level, isolating it from the physical hardware. To separate the new virtual network from the traditional physical one, NSX recreates traditional network segments and elements in the virtual space, including ports, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
