RAIDn

RAIDn (Redundant Array of Independent Disks at level n) is a technology for storing the same data on multiple hard drives. RAIDn can be implemented at various levels, each of which provides a different balance of performance, data security and storage capacity.

RAIDn Mechanics
The principle of operation of RAIDn is to combine several disks into a single logical unit. The data is distributed across these disks in order depending on the RAID level. For example, in RAID 0, performance is given priority, in RAID 1 and RAID 5 — data protection, in RAID 10 — the balance of both.

Comparison of RAIDn with traditional data storage methods
Unlike traditional single-disk storage methods, RAIDn uses multiple disks. This increases storage capacity, increases data security, and increases system performance.

The role of RAIDn in data management
RAIDn plays an important role in data management, especially in environments where data protection and system performance are of paramount importance. The technology is a reliable solution that allows you to manage large amounts of data with the ability to restore them in case of failure of a part of the disks.
