Virtual Private Network (VPN)

A virtual private network (VPN) is a secure channel, the main role of which is to form a secure encrypted connection when interacting with websites and online services, thereby keeping information inaccessible to unauthorized persons.

The principle of VPN operation

The VPN applies encryption to the data before it leaves the device. This encrypted data is then sent over the internet and decrypted when it reaches the VPN server. Thanks to this process, the data remains unreadable and protected from interception during transmission.

The VPN server additionally masks the user’s IP address, creating the illusion that web traffic originates from the server location and not from real geolocation. This aspect enhances privacy and can help circumvent location-based content restrictions.

Advantages of a VPN

Increased security. VPNs use data encryption to provide protection against potential cyber attacks and unauthorized access.

Privacy protection. VPN hides the IP address so that the user’s actions on the Internet cannot be tracked.

Overcoming limitations. A VPN simulates browsing the web from another location in order to access content that is restricted in a certain country.

Facilitating remote work. Companies often use VPNs to provide remote employees with secure access to the company’s internal network.
